Tyson Fury has once again surprised the boxing world by giving fellow Brit Anthony Joshua a rare compliment ahead of his clash with Jarrell Miller, talkSPORT report.
With Fury and rival Deontay Wilder preparing to face off again after their entertaining clash back in December, Joshua announced his plans to head stateside for the first time in his career.
The current unified heavyweight champion was in discussions with Dillian Whyte, however, Joshua will now face off against ‘Big Baby’ Miller at Madison Square Garden on June 1.
And when asked by the media for his opinion on Joshua’s announcement, the self-proclaimed ‘Gypsy King’ gave a rare compliment.
I think it’s a good fight. Two undefeated fighters and may the best man win.
I’m not gonna sit here and slag it off, it’s a great boxing fight.
Fury, who has stepped inside the ring on three occasions since returning last summer, then went on to heap praise on Miller, however, the Brit admitted he hopes Joshua comes out on top in New York.
He’s a nice fella. I’ve known him a long time.
I wish him all the very best in the fight, but at the end of the day I hope Anthony Joshua knocks him into next week.
He’s the British man and I hope he wins.
Fury’s rematch with Wilder is expected to be announced in the coming days, with promoter Frank Warren revealing there will be an announcement on Monday.
