Dillian Whyte has slammed fellow heavyweight Anthony Joshua after he received an opening offer from the Brit ahead of a potential clash on April 13, talkSPORT report.
The 30-year-old has put himself back in contention for a world title shot after a fine 2018, defeating Lucas Browne, Joseph Parker, and Dereck Chisora last year.
Joshua, who admitted recently he would rather take on WBC champion Deontay Wilder in April over a bout with Whyte, defeated the 30-year-old in December 2015.
However, Whyte has gone on to win his next nine fights, placing him firmly amongst the top heavyweights in the world.
And talking to talkSPORT, Whyte confirmed that Joshua’s camp has made him an offer, but described the offer as ‘utterly ridiculous’, with ‘The Body Snatcher’ believing Joshua doesn’t want to fight him in April.
There’s been a first offer but it is utterly ridiculous. It’s way less than what I made against Chisora basically.
It is a ridiculous offer, they’re not serious about the fight, I don’t think they want the fight, I think they just made an offer to cover ground.
It’s just silly, I’m a pay-per-view fighter now in the UK which I’ve built by myself against all the odds.
It’s not like I’m a journeyman. I’ve had nine fights since I fought him and won them all in spectacular fashion.
I don’t think he wants to fight me, there’s easier paydays out there for him and he knows that I will bring problems to his mum’s house, so he don’t want it.
Whyte also went on to admit he would be open to facing Wladimir Klitschko in the future if the former heavyweight champion made a dramatic comeback this year.
I’ll fight Wladimir Klitschko and knock him out if he comes back, I’ll definitely knock him out.
I know exactly what to do. I trained alongside him, I sparred him for years and I know what he’s like, I’d knock him out.
