Fury not impressed with Wilder’s career fights
Tyson Fury has criticised Deontay Wilder’s list of opponents ahead of their WBC title showdown on December 1st, according to a report on the Ring News 24.
Both fighters are going into the bout full of confidence and are adamant that they will come away with the victory.
But Fury insists that Wilder has never faced anyone as good as him before, which he claims will contribute to his downfall.
Fury said:
His last six fights are the only fights that really count.
Stiverne, a small heavyweight who was old and finished. Johann Duhaupas, a Frenchman that has no ability but tries hard. Wilder didn’t hurt him once in the fight.
Eric Molina, a schoolteacher who got lucky – took him nine rounds to get rid of him. Artur Szpilka, who’s lost all his fights by knockout even up until today; a bit of movement and he gave him problems.
Gerald Washington, a football player with a bit of a jab; he gave him problems for five rounds until he landed – not a boxer though.
Then there was [Luis] Ortiz who, forgetting his age, was a good man, but we know father time catches up with everybody.
Wilder is well known for his big power punches and has promised to land some on Fury, who has challenged the American to try and land one on him.
The boxing world can’t wait for this showdown at the Staples Center in Los Angeles as both fighters continue their preparations.
