Chisora believes he’s improved more than Whyte ahead of rematch
Derek Chisora has claimed that he has improved more than his rival Dillian Whyte ahead of their rematch next month, according to a report on Sky Sports.
The two British fighters will clash at the 02 Arena on December 22nd in an eagerly anticipated rematch.
Whyte has his eyes set on fighting heavyweight king Anthony Joshua next year but Chisora is determined to spoil those plans.
Chisora is now managed by former rival David Haye and revealed that he is having a good impact on him already. Whyte came out on top in the first bout and Chisora is adamant that it won’t happen again. He said:
The truth will come out on December 22. What happened in Manchester two years ago was unfair. People had me winning in the fight they gave to him.
You will see a new Derek Chisora who is fit and raring to go. David likes everything to be done right. There’s no cutting corners, he’s pushing me to the limit for this camp.
I am enjoying it, loving it, I wake up excited to go training. At least he’s signed this fight, so we’ll have to see if he wants to get to Wembley. If he does, he’s got to get through me.
Dillian’s improved a lot, he’s a different fighter and a good fighter but I have improved more than him. I can say that because I’ve been at the bottom, a couple of times and I’ve bounced back up.
Their clash in 2016 was a heavyweight classic in the Manchester Arena and boxing fans around the country will be hoping for another exciting fight.
