Wilder reveals he could earn $100m for fighting Fury
Deontay Wilder has claimed that he could make up to $100m for fighting Tyson Fury in December, according to a report on TMZ.
WBC champion Wilder will face Fury on December 1st at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, with the winner likely to get a chance to fight IBF, IBO, WBA and WBO heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua.
The bout between Fury and Wilder is set to be one of boxing’s biggest events in recent years, with millions of people expected to purchase the fight on pay-per-view.
Many people thought that Wilder would make less money fighting Fury than if he fought Joshua, but the American has insisted that isn’t the case.
He said:
People always think the money is in Europe and it’s over there. The money is not, it’s here, because of the cap that they have there.
Pay-per-view here we can do 59 all the way up to 100.
Boxing fans around the world can’t contain their excitement for this fascinating matchup and their three pre-fight press conferences added fuel to fire, with both fighters getting physical.
One thing is for sure, both fighters will come out of this fight with a neat financial profit.
