Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez has revealed that he visualises himself knocking out Gennady Golovkin every night before he goes to sleep, according to a report on the Boxing Scene.

The first fight between the pair last year ended in a controversial draw, with many fans and pundits believing that Golovkin should have been the clear winner.

However, both fighters have made it clear that they have no intentions of letting this rematch last 12 rounds and are both looking for a knockout victory.

The initial rematch between both fighters was scheduled earlier this year but had to be called off after Canelo was found to have the performance-enhancing substance clenbuterol in his system.

Canelo has since been cleared but Golovkin has continued to claim that the Mexican is a “cheat”, which has left Canelo angry and with a personal grudge with the Kazakh.

Canelo said:

I’m angry but I’m going to use it in my favour in this fight. I’m bothered by all the stupid things they’ve been saying.

I’m going to go in there to knock him out. Every night before bed I visualize what I’m going to do, which is to get a knockout.

Fans are expecting an even more explosive fight this time between the pair at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas this Saturday.
