David Haye sends Tyson Fury warning over ‘dynamite’ Deontay Wilder
Former heavyweight champion David Haye has warned fellow Brit Tyson Fury ahead of his upcoming fight with American Deontay Wilder, describing the WBC champion as ‘dynamite’, Boxing Scene report.
The self-proclaimed ‘Gypsy King’ stretched his unbeaten career record to 27-0-0 after a professional performance against Francesco Pianeta in Belfast on Saturday night.
The lineal heavyweight champion, along with Wilder, confirmed that the fight is official shortly after Fury’s win, with the bout set to take place in Las Vegas.
Former heavyweight champion Haye was quick to warn Fury ahead of the mega clash with Wilder, with Haye experiencing first hand what it’s like to be in the ring with Wilder during multiple sparring sessions when he was a professional.
I’m hoping he [Tyson Fury] can come back. If he takes the fight with Deontay Wilder, he’s knocked basically every man he’s ever faced out.
These guys, you can’t give them opportunities to hit you on the chin.
Deontay Wilder was a chief sparring partner for a couple of my training camps.
And I can tell you first hand he can really wallop. He’s got some real dynamite in those hands.
Anthony Joshua, Tyson Fury – anybody in the division will need to be aware of what he can bring to the table.
The winner between Fury and Wilder may then set up the option of facing off against Anthony Joshua at Wembley Stadium next year, in what could be a potential unification clash in the heavyweight division.
