Fury calls Joshua an “idiot” during foul-mouthed rant
Tyson Fury has hit out at IBF, IBO, WBA and WBO heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua in yet another fiery outburst, according to a report on the RingNews24.
Fury labelled Joshua as an “idiot” for not agreeing on a deal to fight Deontay Wilder and he believes that Joshua has embarrassed British boxing.
The ‘Gypsy King’ is never afraid to share his feelings about fellow boxers and recently, he has been targeting Joshua and Wilder.
Fury has revealed that he and Wilder are in advanced negotiations to fight one another before the end of this year as he plots his way to becoming the heavyweight champion once again.
When speaking about Joshua, Fury said:
Whether I’m ready or not, I’m doing the fight with Wilder for British boxing, to take the shame away from it because we’ve got one idiot [Joshua] who is chiselled out of stone who is afraid of his own shadow.
He wouldn’t take the fight with Wilder and has made British boxing a laughing stock. If he’s a fighting man, he should have taken the fight. He didn’t so I have to step in. I’m not afraid to fight any man in any backyard.
Joshua and Wilder were trying to negotiate a deal for months, with both fighters eager to face one another, but eventually, it all broke down.
Joshua is now preparing to face Alexander Povetkin and Fury will be in action this Saturday against Francesco Pianeta.
