Amir Khan questions Kell Brook’s desire to fight him
Amir Khan has questioned Kell Brook’s desire to fight him, as a meeting between the pair continues to be heavily linked.
The pair were involved in an in-ring confrontation back in April, however, both now have scheduled fights upcoming.
Khan, who made his first appearance inside the ring since 2014, defeated Phil Lo Greco in under 40 seconds and is now set to take on Samuel Vargas in September.
Meanwhile Brook, who previously defeated Sergey Rabchenko inside two rounds, will be taking on Brandon Cook at the end of July on the undercard of Dillian Whyte’s clash with Joseph Parker.
Talking to the media in the week, Khan had some strong words for Brook, confirming his desire to face him inside the ring and questioning Brook’s.
You know one thing though? [The fans] are going to get it. Tell [the fans] that they are going to get that fight no matter what.
But when I don’t know. Look, I’m telling you that I want that fight just as much as he wants it. But does he really want it or is he just a talker?
I want it honestly. I don’t shy away from any fight. I want the biggest fights, Kell is there and those fights are going to happen.
If both fighters come out on top in their respective fights, it is believed that promoter Eddie Hearn will look to schedule a clash between Khan and Brook for 2019, if both fighters agree of course.
