Wilder’s manager confirms contract points addressed for Joshua clash
Deontay Wilder’s co-manager Shelly Finkel has confirmed that his team have had a response from Eddie Hearn over two specific points in a proposed contract for a huge clash with Anthony Joshua.
Finkel admitted at the beginning of the week that they had received a contract offer from Hearn, however, the deal had two specific concerns which needed attention.
Talking to World Boxing News, Finkel admitted the team have had a response from Hearn, who has previously been publicly critical of Finkel and his team for their slow responses.
It’s frustrating as Eddie Hearn is stating in the media that we need to be quick and sign the contract, but how can we sign if they don’t respond to our email and clarify our concerns? Eddie sent us a response, which we will respond to next week.
Joshua will be looking to add Wilder’s WBC title to his ever growing list if the fight gets the thumbs up, with his latest title coming against Joseph Parker in March where he took Parker’s WBO title.
With an official deal for a clash between Wilder and Joshua now closer than ever before, we may finally here an official announcement in the coming days.
