Tony Bellew says he would knock Adonis Stevenson out if the two met again, report Sky Sports.
Stevenson beat Bellew in a world title fight at light-heavyweight in 2013, becoming the only fighter to stop the Liverpudlian.
35-year-old Bellew is coming off the back of two wins at heavyweight against David Haye, while Stevenson is fighting Badou Jack this weekend – still at light-heavyweight.
The Canadian has previously called Bellew out saying he is willing to come across to Britain for the pair to have a rematch.
‘Bomber’ insists the fight would have to be at cruiserweight, with Stevenson saying that they could meet at a catchweight.
It still haunts me to this day but he would never fight me at cruiserweight. I can’t go any lower than cruiserweight, it’s impossible and I am telling you now, if he did come close to cruiserweight I would put him to sleep.
Bellew conquered the other blemish on his record by winning a rematch against Nathan Cleverly, and he has since proven that he can hang with anyone in the ring, bullying Haye in their rematch last month.
