British heavyweight champion Hughie Fury has revealed that he would like to fight IBF, IBO, WBA and WBO heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua.
As stated on RingNews24, Fury is hungry to challenge for some of the belts and believes that he has what it takes to trouble Joshua.
Fury stopped Sam Sexton in the fifth round to claim the national title on the weekend and is already looking to add more belts to his collection.
When speaking about who he wants to fight in the future, Fury said:
I believe I’m Joshua’s worst nightmare. He’s not fought anyone who can box. I’d love that fight and hopefully one day I’ll get it.
The fighter totally ruled out any chance of him facing his cousin brother Tyson Fury in the ring and admitted that no matter what happens between the two, they will never come to blows in the ring.
I definitely wouldn’t fight him. I wouldn’t lower myself to that level. Family is family, even if you don’t speak. You don’t put yourself in the ring just for money.
I’ve not spoken to him much, but I wish him all the best and I hope he does well. If he gets a world title, he gets one. I’ve not got animosity for anyone.
He is also open to the idea of fighting Deontay Wilder, who currently holds the WBC heavyweight belt. Joshua is a man in demand at the moment and could face either Alexander Povetkin or Wilder next.
