Anthony Crolla predicts Eubank Jr win in semi-final
Former lightweight world champion Anthony Crolla has predicted an incredibly close fight when Chris Eubank Jr takes on George Groves this weekend but is slightly leaning towards Eubank Jr, according to a report on the Daily Star.
The two British fighters will go head to head in the semi-final of the World Boxing Super Series in Manchester on Saturday night, with Eubank Jr having his IBO title on the line, whilst Groves is at risk of losing his WBA title.
Everyone in the world of boxing is finding it difficult to separate the two fighters and Crolla faced the same problem when he was asked to decide on a winner.
Crolla said:
Honestly, that is so tough. I’ve changed my mind around five times.
I’ve got a lot of interest in it because a good friend of mine, Callum Smith, is in the other semi-final and I fancy him to come through and fight the winner of them in the final.
At the minute, I’m with Eubank Jr but it’s such a 50/50 fight.
The fight is one of the most eagerly anticipated contests in British boxing and there is expected to be around 20,000 fans in the Manchester Arena to witness the clash.
Groves has been disappointed that so many people have written him off already and is keen to prove everyone wrong in the ring.
