Tony Bellew upset the odds on Saturday night with a surprise victory over against an injured David Haye.
Bookies were offering odds in the region of 1-8 on a Haye victory, with Bellew all-but written off before a punch had been thrown.
Bellew, who was making the step up to the heavyweight division was never given a chance but earned plenty of plaudits with the impressing showing.
After his win, here’s a look some of the sport’s biggest upset.
Sugar Ray Leonard v. Marvin Hagler (1987)
Sugar Ray Leonard pulled off a great upset against Marvellous Marvin Hagler back in 1987.
Despite being under pressure throughout the fight and seemingly losing the bout, Leonard held on a was awarded the fight by a spilt-decision.
It was a defining moment for Hagler, who would retire from the sport on the back of the result, after failing to arrange a rematch.
Buster Douglas v. Mike Tyson (1990)
Going into the fight, Douglas was practically written off, not given a chance.
Nobody had taken Tyson past the fifth round in three years.
Famously only one casino in Vegas offered odds on a Douglas victory, the Mirage at 42-1.
Douglas was fighting just weeks after the death of his mother, which he revealed inspired him as he dedicated the win to her.
Manny Pacquiao v. Oscar De La Hoya (2008)
Some may struggle to consider this victory for Pacquiao as an ‘upset’ but against De La Hoya, he was making a step up into the Welterweight division and this was never going to be straightforward.
The Philippines-born fighter dominated throughout and was largely ahead on the judges’ card. It lasted until the eighth round when De La Hoya’s corner threw in the towel.
Muhammad Ali v. George Foreman (1974)
One of the biggest upsets in the sport’s history, with nobody giving the late Muhammed Ali a chance on the night.
Ali would face Foreman, arguably one of the strongest punchers the sport has ever seen in the ‘rumble in the jungle’.
It was a brilliant performance from Ali that would see him outsmart Foreman and win by knockout.
