Povetkin’s fight with David Price confirmed for Joshua card
Alexander Povetkin’s bout with David Price will take place on the same bill as Anthony Joshua’s fight with Joseph Parker, Sky Sports report.
Povetkin will be looking to send Joshua a statement when he faces Price at the Principality Stadium, with the fight announced on the undercard before Joshua takes on Joseph Parker in Cardiff.
The announcement was made by Eddie Hearn on Friday morning via Twitter.

The Russian could well be a potential future opponent for Joshua, who will put both his WBA and IBF heavyweight belts on the line in a unification clash with Parker, who is the WBO title holder, on March 31.
However, Price, who returned to action in December, still has hopes himself of forcing his way into a title fight in the future, and has welcomed the news to battle Povetkin on the same night of Joshua’s bout.
Talking ahead of the fight, Price said:
Make no mistake, I am coming to win. At first, I was just grateful for the opportunity but now in my mind I have to win this fight. There is plenty to gain and too much upside for me not to win this fight – it could be life changing.
