Gennady Golovkin versus Canelo Alvarez certainly lived up to the hype as both fighters showed why they are widely acknowledged as two of the best in the business.
In the end, the fight was declared a draw, although there was plenty of scepticism about the score cards.
Most observers thought that GGG had done enough to earn a points win, but Don Trella scored the fight as a draw, Dave Moretti scored the fight 115-113 in favour of Triple G but judge Adelaide Byrd’s scorecard of 118-10 in favour of Canelo left almost everybody watching on scratching their heads.
