Nathan Cleverly announced his retirement from boxing after losing his WBA light-heavyweight title to Badou Jack on the undercard for Mayweather vs McGregor (26/08/2017).
Cleverly vs Jack was a fight which could have potentially stolen the night at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
However, the fight was one sided as Jack came out on top after a fifth round stoppage.
During the second round, Jack managed to land damaging left hooks on the Welshman which slowed him down.
Cleverly was cut in the fourth after a barrage of punches from the Swedish fighter which led to the fight being called off in the fifth by referee Tony Weeks.
This was the first time Jack had stepped up light-heavyweight and it was clear that he was very comfortable in the weight class after previously fighting at super-middleweight.
Cleverly then took to social media to announce his retirement at the age of 30.
