Chris Eubank Jr retained his IBO super-middleweight title after beating Arthur Abraham on points at Wembley Arena last night (16/07/2017).

Abraham, who is a former two weight world champion did well to survive the 12 rounds as Eubank Jr made an energetic start to proceedings.

After absorbing early shots, Abraham managed to land some shots of his own in the third.

The IBO champion continued to pummel Abraham with shots, but, the Armenian did not show any signs of damage in the eighth round.

It was clear that tiredness was creeping in for Abraham which was evident in the ninth round as he took huge a left from Eubank Jr.

Desperate punches were then being thrown by Abraham in the tenth making it clear that there would only be one winner after the final bell.

All three judges scored the fight in Eubank’s favour with the scorecards reading 118-110, 118-110 and 120-108.

Eubank Jr now has a place in the quarter finals of the World Boxing Super Series where he could potentially face George Groves.

There was also success for Lee Selby as he retained his IBF featherweight title beating Jonathan Victor Barros at Wembley Arena.
