Chris Eubank Jr claimed his first world title after beating Renold Quinlan with a tenth round stoppage at London’s Olympia.

In a fight which lasted longer than expected, Eubank Jr managed to wear down the Australian to win the IBO super-middleweight belt.

Speaking after the fight, Eubank admitted that Quinlan’s ability to take his punching power surprised him, despite the bout being a one-sided contest.

His skull was very hard – it was like hitting concrete

With a world title round his waist, Eubank believes he now has everything he needs to challenge the world’s best super-middleweights.

Now I am a world champion, I have my ticket to challenge the rest of the super middleweights.

English heavyweight David Price was beaten by Christian Hammer, despite Price knocking his opponent down in the fifth round.

Andrew Selby comfortably won the WBC international flyweight title with a unanimous points decision over Filipino Ardin Diale.

Kid Galahad was also in action as he stepped up to featherweight and beat Leonel Hernandez. Galahad was victorious with a stoppage victory at the end of the third round after Hernandez suffered an eye injury.
