Parker vs Fury to take place in New Zealand
The WBO have confirmed that Hughie Fury will have to travel to New Zealand to face WBO heavyweight champion, Joseph Parker.
Fury hoped to face Parker in Britain, however, Parker’s promoter, Duco Events, won the purse bid $3,000,011.
Parker won the title after a points victory against Andy Ruiz Jr back in December.
WBO president Francisco Varcarcel made the announcement on social media, tweeting the following:

Hughie Fury who is the cousin to former world heavyweight champion, Tyson Fury, is used to travelling around the world for fights, picking up victories in America, Canada and Monaco.
Fury had been linked with a fight with WBC champion Deontay Wilder, but, he will now face Gerald Washington on February 25th.
There was also a possibility of Fury facing IBF world champion Anthony Joshua back in December last year, but, Joshua instead decided to fight Eric Molina at the Manchester Arena.
