Matchroom Boxing’s Eddie Hearn has confirmed talks are taking place between Kell Brook and Manny Pacquiao for a fight, however, the super fight against Amir Khan remains his top priority.
This fight would form part of Pacquiao’s farewell tour and the clash would take place in Britain.
Khan is Brook’s main priority, however, who is also due to defend his IBF welterweight title against Errol Spence Jr in the coming months.
Hearn confirmed that he has held talks with Pacquiao’s promoter, Bob Arum, but, the fight is likely to take place in the autumn.
I have been speaking with Bob Arum about a Kell Brook versus Manny Pacquiao fight,
We are ready to go with that right now, but I think they like the idea of fighting Horn first, so we will now try and work for an Autumn fight.
Hearn also said that Brook’s future will be revealed with various routes being available for the Sheffield fighter to go down.
Obviously our priority is the big British fight with Amir and we also have the Errol Spence Jr fight. Either way, Kell’s future will be mapped out in the next month.
Manny Pacquiao is due to face Australian fighter, Jeff Horn, in April.
