Fury vs Klitschko 2 set for October 29th
Wladimir Klitschko’s manager, Bern Boente, believes the long rescheduled rematch between Wladimir Klitschko and world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury is to take place on October 29th at the Manchester Arena.
The match was originally supposed to take place on July 9th before Fury sprained his ankle whilst running in the lake district.
Some newspapers, however, claim Fury damaged his ankle whilst at a rave in Wales, this has been denied by the world champion.
There is also some doubts as to whether the rematch will go ahead with some tabloid papers claiming Fury has been taking steroids, something which again has been denied by the Fury camp.
Speaking to Sport Bild, Boente said the drugs test is not in their hands and hopes the rematch goes ahead.
Namely, (Fury v Klitschko 2 is) on October 29 in Manchester Arena. The rest (drug investigation) is not in our hands
Whilst Klitschko has been going through a tough training regime, Fury’s preparation for the fight has been questioned with reports of him partying into the early hours.
