Peter Fury responds to Tyson Fury being in France
Tyson Fury’s trainer and uncle, Peter Fury, has responded to recent sightings of the world heavyweight champion in France this week during Euro 2016.
Following an ankle injury which has postponed Fury’s rematch with Wladimir Klitschko for the world heavyweight title, Peter Fury has said Tyson’s trip to France is a way to keep his mind off things.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Peter believes it would be best for Tyson to relax and enjoy himself instead of sitting at home.
Tyson can’t train for at least four to five weeks on the leg anyway, so what’s he going do – sit at home? He might as well try and get his mind off it and have a bit of downtime.
Regarding how the injury was caused, Peter Fury is only concerned about the injury itself and not how Tyson obtained it.
Whatever people want to say they’ll say. If he’s done it at a rave then he’s done it at a rave. If he’s done it running, then he’s done it running. I don’t see the difference. The only thing I’m concerned about is he’s got the injury.
I’m 99.9 per cent certain that he got the injury from running in the Lake District. I’m not 100 per cent certain because I wasn’t there but he’s not injured himself at a rave.
Peter Fury also revealed the rematch for Tyson Fury vs Wladimir Klitschko at the Manchester Arena is likely to take place in late September or early October.
